Short answer: pick the drum count by channel (3 drums for value, 4 to 5 for premium and gift sets), the blade steel by market (304 for the best corrosion resistance, 420J2 for a sharper edge, 430 for value), and check carton density before you compare prices. Across our ten drum graters, starting prices for 100+ units run from about US$4 to US$13.50 per set, and sea freight per set differs by almost 2x between the most and least compact models.

3, 4 or 5 drums: which suits your buyers?
A three-drum set (fine grate, coarse shred and slice) covers what most home cooks do with cheese, carrots and nuts, and keeps the shelf price low. The 8029 three-drum grater is our simplest example.
Four and five drums add extra cuts and make the set look more complete in a gift box or an online listing. The 4-in-1 shredder is the value way into a multi-drum set; the 669 five-drum grater is the premium end. If you sell on Amazon, the drum count is one of the first things shoppers compare, so show every drum in your main image.
Does the blade steel matter?
Yes, mainly for how the blade holds up to washing and acidic food. Our range uses three grades:
- 304 stainless steel (4-in-1 shredder): the best corrosion resistance of the three, a strong point for dishwasher-heavy markets.
- 420J2 stainless steel (Y616, and the five-drum 669 alongside 430): can be hardened, so it keeps a sharper edge.
- 430 stainless steel (C-series, Y189, 8029): the economical choice that keeps the price competitive.
If your market asks for food-contact test reports, tell us when you request a quote, because the tested material must match the material in your order.
Why does carton density change your landed cost?
Sea freight is charged by volume, so the number of sets that fit in a cubic metre matters as much as the unit price. The compact C335 and Y189 pack about 180 sets per m³; the large C375 packs about 96. That means the C375 carries almost twice the sea freight per set. When you compare two graters at a similar unit price, the more compact one is often cheaper landed. Our price factors guide explains the same effect for vegetable choppers.
Which model for which channel?
- Supermarket and promotions: the 4-in-1 shredder or the 299, for the lowest starting price and dense cartons.
- Amazon and online stores: the C335 or Y189, compact for shipping and with clear housings that photograph well.
- Gift sets and premium listings: the 669 five-drum or the C375, for the fullest set.
You can mix models in one order: stock items have no minimum. For single-parcel orders, see our dropshipping guide.

Frequently asked questions
How many drums should a rotary cheese grater have?
Three drums (fine grate, coarse shred, slice) cover most home use and keep the price low. Four or five drums add extra cuts such as a wavy slice or a finer grate, which suits gift sets and premium listings.
What is the difference between 304, 420J2 and 430 stainless steel blades?
All three are stainless. 304 is the most corrosion-resistant, 420J2 can be hardened for a sharper edge, and 430 is the most economical. In our range, the 4-in-1 shredder uses 304, the Y616 uses 420J2 and most C-series and drum models use 430.
Which rotary grater is cheapest to ship?
Compact models pack more sets per cubic metre. In our range, the C335 and Y189 pack about 180 sets per m³, while the larger C375 packs about 96, so its sea freight per set is almost twice as high.
Is there a minimum order for rotary graters?
No minimum on stock orders. A logo, custom colors or a retail box start from 100 units per model. Starting prices on our product pages apply to orders of 100+ units.
Can I get a sample first?
Yes. Outside peak season, we send samples within 7 days and design drawings for branded versions within 3 days.
