Short answer: seven things set the wholesale price of a vegetable chopper from China: the set size, the blade steel, the plastics, the retail packaging, how many sets fit in a carton, the order stage (stock, logo or custom box) and the shipping term. Two choppers that look alike can differ on four of these at once, so compare quotes only after you match the accessory list, materials and packing.
HEHUI is a China kitchenware manufacturer with our own factory since 2010. The figures below come from our own vegetable cutter catalogs, which cover about 100 chopper, slicer, grater and dicer models.
What are the 7 factors behind a chopper's wholesale price?
| Factor | Range in our catalogs | Why it changes the price |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Set size | 6-in-1 to 25-in-1 | More grids, inserts and accessories mean more parts, tooling and assembly time. |
| 2. Blade steel | 420J2 on most models; 304 on some larger sets | Steel grade and blade count change material cost and cutting performance. |
| 3. Plastics | ABS, PP, PS, PC and PET parts | Clear PC or PET containers and thicker walls cost more than basic PS. |
| 4. Retail packaging | Color box on most choppers; blister cards on small slicers | Custom printed boxes need a minimum run and artwork approval. |
| 5. Carton volume | 4 to 150 pieces per export carton | Bulky sets pack fewer units per cubic metre, so freight per unit rises. |
| 6. Order stage | No minimum on stock; logo, colors or retail box from 100 units | Each customization stage adds setup cost spread over fewer or more units. |
| 7. Shipping term | EXW to DDP | A DDP price includes freight, duties and taxes; an EXW price includes none of them. |
How much does set size matter?
Set size is the biggest single factor. Our catalog runs from compact 6-in-1 and 7-piece slicers to 22-in-1 and 25-in-1 sets with eight dicing grids. Each extra grid or insert is another molded or punched part, another blade to fit and another step in packing. A 22-in-1 set also needs a larger container and box.
Ask yourself which cutting jobs your customers actually use. For a first Amazon listing, a 14-in-1 or 16-in-1 set often covers dicing, slicing and grating; the 22-in-1 set suits gift and supermarket displays. See our 14-in-1 vs 22-in-1 comparison.

Which materials change the cost?
Most choppers in our catalogs use 420J2 stainless steel for the blades, and some larger sets use 304 stainless steel. The body and container are made from ABS, PP, PS, PC or PET, depending on the model. Clear PC or PET containers look better in photos than basic PS, but cost more.
If your market needs food-contact test reports, say so in the request. The tested material must match the material in your order, and a change of plastic can mean a new test.
Why does carton volume affect the landed price?
Sea and air freight are charged by volume or weight, whichever is higher. That makes the export carton part of the product price. Here are three examples from our catalogs, worked out from the listed carton sizes:
| Model | Per carton | Carton size | Gross weight | Sets per m³ |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 14-in-1 chopper | 20 sets | 61 × 35 × 49 cm | 15 kg | about 191 |
| 22-in-1 chopper (CV-001 size) | 18 sets | 55 × 50 × 45 cm | 25 kg | about 145 |
| Y616 rotary grater | 12 sets | 44 × 39 × 53.5 cm | 12 kg | about 130 |
So the 22-in-1 set uses roughly 30% more freight space per unit than the 14-in-1 set. For an order shipped DDP, that difference goes straight into your landed cost. Ask for the carton size and gross weight with every quotation, as our ordering guide explains.
How do stock, logo and custom packaging change the price?
Each step of customization adds setup work. There is no minimum on stock orders: you can order from 1 unit. Customization (a logo, custom colors or a retail box) starts from 100 units per model. New molds and structural changes are made in-house by our own designers; discuss your idea with us on WhatsApp. The unit price is usually lowest for plain stock and highest for a small custom run, because setup costs are spread over fewer sets.
A common route is to test with stock units, then add your logo and retail box from 100 units once the product sells, and only invest in new tooling when volume justifies it. Our private label MOQ guide walks through each stage.
How does the shipping term change what you are comparing?
An EXW or FOB price covers the goods only up to our factory or the Chinese port. A DAP or DDP price includes delivery to your door, and DDP also includes import duties and taxes. Comparing an FOB quote from one supplier with a DDP quote from another makes the cheaper offer look far more expensive than it is.
We quote all eleven Incoterms 2020 rules. Read EXW, FOB or DDP for small orders to pick the right one.
How do I get an accurate quote?
Send the details that decide the price, and you get one quotation instead of three rounds of questions:
- Model and set: the model number or product link, and the set size you want.
- Quantity per model: one line per model if you are mixing products.
- Branding: stock, logo on the product, or a custom box.
- Destination and term: city or port, and EXW, FOB, DDP or another term.
- Documents: any test reports your market requires.
Outside peak season, we send design drawings within 3 days and samples within 7 days, so you can check the exact set before you commit.
Frequently asked questions
Why do two 'vegetable choppers' from China have very different prices?
Because they are rarely the same product. Set size (from 6-in-1 to 25-in-1), blade steel, plastic grade, packaging and carton volume all change the cost. Compare quotes only after matching the accessory list, materials and packing.
Is a bigger set always more expensive to ship?
Per set, usually yes. In our catalog a 14-in-1 chopper packs about 191 sets per cubic metre, while a 22-in-1 set packs about 145. Sea freight is charged by volume, so the larger set carries more freight per unit.
Can I get a lower price for a mixed order of several models?
Mixed orders are welcome. The price of each model still depends on its own quantity and packing, so send a model-by-model quantity list and we confirm each line.
Does adding my logo change the price?
Yes, a little. Customization (a logo, custom colors or a retail box) starts from 100 units per model and adds printing, setup and handling. A custom printed box costs more up front, but improves the look on a shelf or listing.
Why don't you publish wholesale prices online?
Because the price depends on the set, quantity, packaging, shipping term and season. Our sales team quotes each request so you get a price that matches your exact order.
